Evelyn’s Blessings is honored to host an upcoming Distribution Day at Prairie Village in Washington, Indiana on January 24th.
On this day, we will be delivering lifelike companion animals and comfort items to residents, offering connection, calm, and joy to those living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other cognitive challenges. These moments of companionship often spark smiles, memories, and a deep sense of comfort.

WELCOME to Evelyn’s Blessings!
Evelyn’s Blessings came to be by visiting with an elderly lady who was in the same nursing home as our Pappy. This lady carried a baby doll with her wherever she went, and because Evelyn carried her baby doll around, it really became a talking point in our home. After talking about what the baby did for that sweet lady, Evelyn wanted to give others that same experience. After researching, reading, and watching videos, we decided to start Evelyn’s Blessings.
Evelyn chose to put a baby doll, blanket, bottle, and pacifier in a pretty box so that patients could receive a gift. When I asked Evelyn what she’d like for the patients to feel, she said joy! Watching our Pappy go through dementia, not knowing who we are, and the confusion that he feels has given her the understanding that comfort items are a necessity to their mental health through this stage of life. We hope to partner with long-term care facilities in the area to provide these babies to patients.
